A highly unique and neat specimen for this Sicilian classic! The specimen consists of a colorless grouping of pseuo-hexagonal twinned crystals of aragonite, the top terminated and hosting several translucent sharply formed yellow crystals of native sulphur to 4.1 cm in size. One very minor and tiny rub is present on a sulphur crystal edge. Overall though I think this in outstanding condition for what it is. Measures 8.1 x 8.1 x 6.8 cm in size overall. A very fine and choice combination piece! |

While there have been a large number of excellent fluorites recently available from this locality, good twinned crystals have been quite rare. This example shows an excellent spinel-law twin crystal of fluorite, flattened and exhibiting the twinning plane very well, forming a matrix-less cluster with minor brassy crystallized pyrite. Shows nicely all of the way around and measures 5 x 2.5 x 6.7 cm in size. There are two tiny chips present along one crystal edge at the upper front of the piece; outside of this the piece is very clean and sharp, free of damage, all of the way around. The color is a very pale lilac and the crystals are for the most part transparent. Very fine and choice - different and interesting! Ref: Rocks & Minerals 80(1), 46-57. |

A superbly crystallized large miniature specimen for the species at this famous locality! The specimen consists of twinned colorless somewhat lustrous terminated crystals of cerussite measuring to 4 cm in length set aesthetically upon a limonitic matrix. The crystals are free standing all of the way around the matrix and are undamaged. The arrangement is great; the quality is excellent. Measures 6.5 x 3 x 6.3 cm in size overall. Ref: Worner, H. Neat flattened gemmy pale purple to colorless glassy spinel-law twin fluorite crystals to 27 mm across are set nicely on a 3.6 x 4.1 x 3.7 cm crystallized brassy micro pyrite matrix. Sits nicely for display. To my naked eye this is very clean of damage; with a 10x loupe I can find one tiny chip present on one of the fluorite crystal edges. Overall very clean and quite nice. This type of twinning in fluorite is quite unusual for the locality. This is a good one. Ref: Rocks & Minerals 80(1), 46-57. |

A beautiful choice superb glassy reddish-brown to colorless glassy transparent twinned calcite crystal measuring 4.0 x 2.4 x 1.8 cm in size is set perfectly upon a calcite crystal coated matrix. There are several other smaller twins present as well. The left termination on the main crystal is just very slightly "rubbed" as seen in the photos; outside of this the specimen is perfect. Very showy, this is from the important finds at this mine in the late 1990's. Measures 6.0 x 5.0 x 2.7 cm in size overall and the main crystal is complete all around 360 degrees.
