A superbly crystallized example for this uncommon species from a new find! Glassy lustrous translucent reddish-brown octahedral crystals of microlite to 13 mm across are completely covering the front of a 22 x 18 x 16 mm matrix. Very sparse microscopic level chipping is seen on a few of the crystal edges, only viewed by my eyes with a 10x loupe. The overall quality is excellent for this species! I am told that it is possible that these are stannomicrolite, but more work needs to be done. These are rich in tin. Ref: The Mineralogical Record: 31: 6.

An outstanding grouping of high quality reddish brown translucent glassy octahedral crystals of microlite, the largest measuring to 15 mm in size, are set nicely upon a 23 x 18 x 25 mm matrix. A very choice and superb large thumbnail/toe-nail example for this uncommon species! Very minor chipping is present on one crystal corner at the extreme left of the piece; otherwise exceptional in condition. From a recent find in this important pegmatite district. I am told that it is possible that these are stannomicrolite, but more work needs to be done. These are rich in tin. Ref: The Mineralogical Record: 31: 6.
