Large glowing ball-shaped crystal cluster of orange-red olmiite crystals, complete all around, with minor matrix attached. Light micro-chipping is present but sparse and not easily seen. Excellent for this rare species with bluish-gray spray of parasymplesite measuring 1.0 cm in height perched nicely upon a 3.0 x 3.0 x 2.3 cm matrix. In excellent condition as seen; very choice for the species. The matrix is covered by colorless calcite crystals. Ex Sal Avella collection.

Very fine for the species consisting of a loose 2.5 x 2.0 x 1.5 cm spray of probertite crystals. Shows all around. The specimen is neatly and attractively mounted with water soluble glue in a plastic "Perky Box". It is easily removed if you wish.

Lustrous glassy translucent red scalenohedral crystals of proustite to 1.0 cm in size covering the top of a massive proustite matrix. Shows all around; micro-chipping is present but overall this is in very good condition for one of these old classics. Measures 3.0 x 1.7 x 1.2 cm. Ref: The Mineralogical Record, 10(4), 197-204. A 3.1 x 2.5 x 2.0 cm matrix, the top covered with deep red lustrous translucent proustite crystals to 0.5 cm in size. Some damage, typical of these, as seen. Still, a very fine and rich old-time classic. Chanarcillo was a major silver mining district; proustite specimens from here are always in high demand amongst collectors and are quite rare on the market. Sharp red translucent crystals of proustite to 0.4 cm in size scattered over the front side of a 2.5 x 1.6 x 1.5 cm matrix. Some damage as seen; still, most of the prominent crystals are in great condition as seen. Good classic "ruby silver" thumbnail specimen.
