Beautiful pearly pink crystals of translucent smithsonite averaging 0.4 cm in size neatly covering one side of a 7.0 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm matrix. Minor damage off to the far right side of the matrix, away from the center of the piece. In my opinion this is in great condition. Very showy. Ex Hans Luthi collection.

Pretty chatoyant light green crystals of smithsonite in groupings to 0.7 cm in size rich throughout this open vug lined by sparkling micro white hemimorphite crystals. Measures 6.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 cm in size. In great condition overall. Previous label states that this is from San Pedro Corralitos and was acquired in 1970. I cannot find any reference to this sort of material from San Pedro Corralitos, but it is very similar to material found at the San Antonio Mine in Santa Eulalia. Ex Gene Tribbey collection.

Several years ago neat loose spessartine crystals, some quite large, appeared on the mineral market. In my opinion these commanded very high prices considering the fact that they were not on matrix and were for the most part opaque. Recently good matrix specimens have appeared. This is one of them. A superb sharply formed, for this locality, orange opaque lustrous spessartine crystal measuring 4.0 x 2.5 x 2.3 cm in size is set aesthetically upon a 7.0 x 4.2 x 4.1 cm schist matrix. No damage and quite aesthetic. An oustanding matrix example for this new and important locality for the species.

Gorgeous and aesthetic combination piece with a grouping of gemmy lustrous glassy terminated smoky quartz crystals coming off a small matrix of white feldspar, this studded throughout with gemmy glassy orange-red crystals of spessartine to 0.3 cm.
