A 12.0 x 11.0 x 7.0 cm matrix, the top covered by both lustrous black schorl crystals and prismatic terminated smoky quartz crystals. The schorl crystals are incredibly lustrous, mirror-bright, and measure to 3.0 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm in size. The smoky quartz crystals are lustrous as well, translucent, and measure to 5.0 cm in height. Very light chipping is present on edges of some schorl crystals, as well as on the termination of the smoky quartz. The extent of this is clearly visible in the photos. Overall I think this piece in very good condition damage-wise. The luster of the schorl crystals is extremely bright making for an attractive piece. Superb lustrous dark red hexagonal crystals of vanadinite to 1.7 cm in size are scattered aesthetically over a matrix white bladed barite crystals. Light damage is present to several minor crystals at lower right on the matrix, near the edge. All of the large and prominent crystals are sharp and perfect. Measures 10.5 x 8.0 x 6.5 cm in size overall. Beautiful contrast; the quality is very high. At one time this specimen was part of the award winning collection of Arizona collector Tom McKee.
