Beautiful chatoyant pink to almost red crystallized botryoidal rhodochrosite covering the top of a 5.0 x 3.5 x 1.5 cm matrix. No damage; very fine. Collected 1976/1977.

Eye-catching beautiful glassy gemmy red scalenohedral rhodochrosite crystals to 0.8 cm in size covering nicely the top of a 5.0 x 4.0 x 4.0 cm matrix. Some cleaving is present as seen. The color and lustrous make for a really showy and attractive piece!

Large crude pink crystals of rhodochrosite to 2.8 cm across are forming a 3.5 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm cluster set up nicely on a pyrite matrix. Shows nicely all around with one minor cleave showing on the back side as seen in the photos. Size: 5.0 x 4.0 x 3.5 cm. Ex Mark & Karen Vendl collection.

A colorful large cabinet piece consisting of a 17.0 x 8.0 x 4.6 cm quartz matrix, the top mostly coated by pale pink sparkling bladed crystals of rhodochrosite averaging 0.2 cm in size. There is a secondary sprinkling of tiny quartz over the rhodochrosite. No damage - very pretty and quite choice for a large cabinet specimen from this classic Colorado locality! The base of the specimen is sawn flat and the piece sits perfectly upon this surface for display. Lustrous black terminated schorl crystal 1.5 cm tall is set on a 6.0 x 4.0 x 3.5 cm matrix of snow-white crystallized albite. To the one side of this is a pale pink tabular fluorapatite crystal measuring 2.0 cm across. In great condition; shows all around 360 degrees and sits nicely for display by itself. A superb hand sized example of smithsonite for Arizona! The specimen consists of a 9.5 x 8.0 x 4.5 cm matrix, the front side completely covered by lovely green chatoyant crystallized botryoidal smithsonite. There are numerous shades of green present. No damage - the quality is excellent. Sits up perfectly by itself for display. From a new find on the 470 level in May, 2009. Ref: The Mineralogical Record: 3: 247-264.

Beautiful and aesthetic large thumbnail with a carmel colored platy translucent lustrous wulfenite crystal measuring 2.3 cm across, this perched aesthetically on a small amount of matrix. Typical of most all of these Tsumeb wulfenites, micro-chipping is present on some of the edges as seen in the photos. Shows nicely all around. Size: 2.8 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm.

A loose terminated gem green zoisite crystal measuring 3.2 x 0.8 x 0.5 cm. Slight contacting is present at upper left as seen in the photos. The crystal itself is very transparent and of excellent quality for the species/locality. Shows all around. Ex Lloyd Tate collection.
