9500208) Azurite with Malachite - Kerrouchene, Khenifra Province, Meknes-Tafilalet Region, Morocco Size: 9.0 x 6.0 x 5.0 cm (small cabinet) Price: $ 1250
An excellent matrix combination piece for this locality! A lustrous grouping of parallel dark blue terminated azurite crystals measuring 4.0 x 2.0 x 1.5 cm in size is set aesthetically upon a 9.0 x 6.0 x 5.0 cm matrix. There is a grouping of acicular green malachite crystals measuring 3.5 cm in length on one side of this matrix. There is an area of natural contacting at the upper right corner of the azurite grouping; in the same area, along the vertical edge, is very light chipping. All of this is visible in the photos. I think that, overall, this is in excellent condition damage-wise. 1126312) Galena with Quartz - Freiberg District, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany Size: 11.5 x 11.0 x 9.5 cm (cabinet) Price: $ 1500 ex. Wolfgang E. Henkel collection
Choice large grouping of lead-gray semi-lustrous cubic galena crystals to just under 4.5 cm on edge on matrix with sparkling white crystallized quartz. Light chipping is present on several corners and edges, as seen in the photos. Overall in very good condition. The crystals are cubic with slight octahedral corner modifications. Measures 11.5 x 11.0 x 9.5 cm in size. Excellent cabinet sized specimen from this famous old mining district! Accompanied by an old label. Ex Wolfgang E. Henkel collection. 1121048) Wulfenite - Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia Size: 13.0 x 4.4 x 2.4 cm (cabinet) Price: $ 2000 ex. Wolfgang E. Henkel collection
A 13.0 x 4.4 x 2.4 cm matrix, the front liberally and attractively scattered with lustrous slightly translucent brown wulfenite crystals. The most prominent crystal measures 1.5 x 1.5 cm in size. There are many wulfenite crystals present. With a 10x loupe I can find several small ones with light chipping; the extent of this visible in the photos. The prominent crystal has light microscopic level chipping along the upper edge and at the right corner, again only seen with a 10x loupe to my eyes but the full extent visible in the close-up photo. To the naked eye this is in excellent condition damage-wise. Good well crystallized cabinet sized wulfenite specimen for this famous locality! Ref: Gebhard, G. (1999): Tsumeb II.
