A 9.4 x 7.3 x 1.6 cm matrix plate, the top very richly crystallized with deep blue terminated undamaged azurite crystals measuring to 1.2 cm in length. I think somewhat better in person than as shown in the photos; there is a lot of very good azurite present. Minor green crystallized malachite in association. Ex Lloyd Tate collection. A beautiful lustrous damage-free single terminated tanzanite crystal measuring 8.0 x 3.1 x 1.8 cm in size. The back is partly coated by what appears to be small brown siderite crystals. The crystal is translucent, with some areas of transparency. When back-lit the crystal shows the trichroism typical of the species. Completely crystallized all around.
