I can find sparse micro-chipping; overall in great condition. Complete all around. This has likely been repaired back together, typical of most all of these "herkimer diamond" crystal groupings. Superb and showy large color zoned deep purple translucent to transparent single terminated tapering amethyst crystal measuring 13.2 x 5.0 x 3.0 cm in size. Complete all around 360 degrees. Small damage is evident at the lower left, front side, of the crystal, as seen in the photos. MIcroscopic chipping is present on the termination, only visible to my eyes with 10x magnification. The size is excellent for an amethyst crystal, as well as great color and luster. Ref: The Mineralogical Record 35:6 pp 29-37. Ex Lloyd Tate collection.

Neat purple and smoky partly gemmy amethyst crystal on a small amount of matrix. Neat hoppering on some of the crystal faces. Complete all around. Micro-chipping on the termination as seen. A highly aesthetic choice hand sized grouping of sparkling transparent prismatic terminated amethyst crystals, the largest and most prominent one measuring to 7.6 cm in length. There is no matrix - these all radiate from a common base. Shows nicely all around - completely free of damage and chipping. A very three dimensional piece, I think this better than as shown in the photographs. Measures 9.0 x 6.4 x 6.3 cm in size overall. Ex Lloyd Tate collection. Very pretty combination piece consisting of a floater matrix of white feldspar, this rich on both sides with brilliant sparkling orange-red gemmy crystals of spessartine averaging 0.1 cm in size. A single terminated glassy partly transparent smoky quartz crystal measuring 5.3 cm in height is set nicely on this matrix. No damage or chipping; the quality is excellent. Size: 11.0 x 8.5 x 2.5 cm. Wonderful cabinet sized combination specimen with dark lustrous translucent smoky quartz crystals to 5.0 cm in size studded across the top of a white blocky orthoclase crystal matrix. Scattered throughout are small deep red sparkling translucent crystals of spessartine. Shows nicely all around 360 degrees. Perfect without any damage or chipping. Size: 13.0 x 7.5 x 6.0 cm.
