Colorless thin prismatic terminated gemmy crystals of scolecite to 9.0 cm in length are covering the top of a flattish 16.0 x 11.0 x 11.0 cm matrix. Green gemmy apophyllite-(KF) crystals to 3.0 cm are nestled attractively amongst these scolecite crystals. Sits nicely for display; shows all around 360 degrees. Quite delicate. In great condition. A 16.5 x 11.0 x 7.5 cm matrix, the front side a shallow open vug lined with sparkling deep blue crystallized azurite. Minor green malachite in association. No damage. Spectacular deep blue botryoidal crystallized azurite covering the top side of a 20.0 x 12.0 x 7.0 cm matrix. The crystals form "stalactitic groupings" to 3.0 cm in height. These are likely covering quartz crystals. Minor malachite in association. No damage - a gorgeous large cabinet piece!

A classic Bisbee specimen, the matrix measuring 16.0 x 15.0 x 3.5 cm in size, the front side mostly covered by deep blue sparkling bladed azurite crystals to 1.0 cm in size. Some damage is present as seen; overall in good condition, especially considering the size of the piece and the number of crystals present. The back side is sprinkled with minor azurite and the typical malachite after cuprite pseudomorphs. Ref: The Mineralogical Record: 12: 256-319; The Mineralogical Record: 24: 421-436.

Since 2002 the mineral market has seen a large quantity of attractive azurite specimens from this locality in China. Most specimens consist of druses of micro azurite crystals associated with malachite. At times discernible crystals have been seen, usually measuring to about 1.0 cm in smaller specimens. The large cabinet example shown here is outstanding. Sharp lustrous deep blue sharply formed crystals of azurite to almost 2.0 cm in size are richly scattered over a 16.0 x 12.0 x 7.0 cm matrix. Small crude crystals of cuprite, these coated by green malachite, are present as well. There is no damage. The association with malachite/cuprite is somewhat reminiscent of the old Copper Queen Mine, Bisbee, Arizona specimens. In terms of crystal size, luster, perfection and size this is an exceptional Chinese azurite specimen. Ref: Liu (2006), Fine Minerals of China; pp 27-30.

Many excellent black large well formed crystals of babingtonite to 2.5 cm in size rich throughout this 16.5 x 14.0 x 3.0 cm matrix coated by greenish botryoidal crsytallized prehnite. Quartz in association. In excellent condition overall as seen; some orangish-brown coatings are present to some of the crystals at far right. This is not damage. The base of the matrix is shaped with a trim saw. An outstanding large cabinet example for the species measuring 16.5 x 14.0 x 3.0 cm and weighing 1.95 lbs. Ref: Lapis 33 (6), 21-30.

Deep smoky amber glassy gemmy crystals of barite to 5.0 cm, some double terminated, are almost completely covering the top of a limestone matrix. In excellent condition as seen. Comes with a custom made acrylic display base. Measures 15.0 x 14.0 x 4.0 cm in size overall. A superb example from the major find at this mine in early 2012. A majestic prismatic orthorhombic terminated barite crystal 14.0 cm in height is standing up free and clean from a thin matrix. Smaller barites are present on the matrix. Inclusions of marcasite are throughout the barite crystals. Shows nicely all around and in excellent condition as seen. The crystals are translucent with a good luster. The specimen comes with a custom made acrylic display base. Measures 16.5 x 13.0 x 10.0 cm in size overall. From the major find at this mine in early 2012; a superb example! Choice cluster of colorless lustrous mostly transparent tabular barite crystals measuring 15.0 x 7.0 x 6.0 cm in size. Micro-chipping is present but sparse; overall in very good condition. Sits up nicely for display by itself. Shows all around. Weighs 1.6 lbs.

Two large glassy mostly gemmy double terminated barite crystals, these forming a sandwich with thin platy crystallized white calcite on the inside. Shows all around. Several much smaller crystals are present as well. Minor chipping on the base of the larger crystal, which is hidden from view when the piece is displayed in the custom made acrylic display base that comes with the piece. Measures 20.0 x 11.5 x 8.0 cm. This is an exceptional barite for this locality; from the major find at the locality during the early part of 2012. A major U.S. barite specimen. Wonderful large cabinet display piece with spherical shaped white crystal groupings of barite to 7.0 cm in diameter set at the top. Scattered richly throughout are deep translucent purple fluorite crystals to 3.0 cm on edge and black sparkling lustrous sphalerite crystals. Overall this is in outstanding condition, especially when one considers its size. Measures 25.0 x 21.5 x 12.0 cm overall. Superb large museum-size specimen that is quite attractive. Outstanding old-time specimen from this closed locality! A 15.0 x 10.0 x 9.5 cm matrix, the top covered almost completely by sparkling thin bladed bright red barite crystals to 2.0 cm in size. The intense red color is due to inclusions of realgar. Minor chipping as seen, to be expected on a piece of this size and type of crystallization. Overall, in my opinion, this is in great condition. The color is intense; the piece will add a lot of color to any cabinet! Fine Romanian classic!

Outstanding old-time specimen from this closed locality! A 24.0 x 12.0 x 8.0 cm matrix, the top covered almost completely by sparkling thin bladed bright red barite crystals to 1.5 cm in size. The intense red color is due to inclusions of realgar. Minor chipping as seen, to be expected on a piece of this size and type of crystallization. Overall, in my opinion, this is in great condition. The color is intense; the piece will add a lot of color to any cabinet! Fine Romanian classic!

A perfect spherical shaped white crystal grouping of barite 8.5 cm in diameter set perfectly at the top of a 19.5 x 12.5 x 7.5 cm limestone matrix, the rest of the matrix scattered attractively with deep red sparkling sphalerite crystals to 1.0 cm in size.
