Terms and Conditions - Effective March 22, 2012

When Ordering From Our Galleries:

When Ordering:

It is best to e-mail your order, directly to Dan, at: danweinrich@charter.net. You can use the "Click Here to Order" link that is at the top and bottom of each gallery page. When ordering, be sure to include the item number, species, locality and price. Also be sure to include your full name, shipping address and telephone number. Telephone orders are, of course, welcome, but it is safest to order via e-mail and then follow up with a telephone call. Orders will come on first come, first basis. Please be advised that if you e-mail or call to ask questions about a particular specimen, but do not order it at that time, the specimen will remain available to others. Once we receive your order, we will confirm via e-mail. At that time we will inform you about the possible date for packaging your order, invoicing, etc. Once your order is prepared, we will send you an invoice via e-mail with instructions for payment options.

Forms of Payment:

We accept MasterCard, Visa, PayPal and Bank Wire. Please, no checks or money orders. All orders must be paid in full before shipment. We are sorry, no specimens are sent on an "approval" basis. For orders over $7500, it is possible to arrange for special viewing before purchase. Please inquire.

Our Descriptions:

We take great pains to provide accurate and detailed photographs of each specimen, as well as very detailed descriptions. Our descriptions will usually detail any possible damage down to the 10x hand lens level. Before ordering, be sure to study our photos, looking closely at the edges and corners of each crystal. Please study our descriptions, especially checking on the size of the specimen. If you have any questions about a specific specimen or specimens, please do not hesitate to ask.

When Ordering From Our Auctions:

Before bidding, be sure to check the specimen photos and descriptions carefully. Check the sizes listed in the descriptions. Check the photos closely for any damage, etc. Please remember that there are no returns on auction items. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We do our best to describe each item very carefully, but it is the responsibility of the purchaser to examine the photos/description closely.

At the close of each auction, the winning bidders will receive a "Winners Notice". This notice will confirm the items won, as well as the price. Please read this notice carefully. The notice will tell you when you can expect to receive an invoice for your total, including postage. It will also give you details as to potential shipping dates. It is important to note that you will be expected to pay the invoice within three days of receipt. Failure to make a timely payment will result in the items won being forfeited.

Your account must be "current". If your account is not "current" you will be denied access to bid on future items. Repeat offenders of this policy will need to have a valid Master Card or Visa number on file with us in order to bid on items.

If you plan to participate in our auctions frequently, for the very best service, we highly recommend that you keep a credit card on file with us. This will insure that you will receive all shipments as quickly as possible.

If you receive an auction specimen that is damaged in transit, please refer to our "Guarantee" section for our "Return Policy".

We can allow you to hold specimens, in order to combine into one more cost effective shipment, for up to 30 days at a time. We still require payment to be made for all specimens within three days of receipt of invoice. We will invoice separately for the shipping costs at the end of the 30 day period.

It is possible to combine any auction orders with orders from our Regular galleries, into one cost-effective parcel.

Postage/Shipping Guidelines:

We shipped over 7500 specimens in 2011. We have a lot of experience packing/shipping minerals throughout the world. You can order with confidence.

For Domestic Orders:

We ship all orders using the United States Postal Service. For orders under $4000, we use Priority Mail. A signature will be required for all orders over $150. For orders over $4000, we use Registered Mail, fully insured. For shipping rates please see the chart below.

For Non-Domestic Orders:

If the value of the package is less than $150, we will ship USPS First Class mail. The rate will depend on the weight of the package. This is the cheapest method to ship outside the United States. Please note that there is no tracking number; the transit time is said to be anywhere from 1 - 4 weeks, maybe a little longer. This method can only be utilized for packages that weigh less than 4 pounds. For shipping rates please see the chart below.

If the value of the package is over $150, we will ship USPS Priority Mail. With this method there is a tracking number that is operable up until the time that the package leaves U.S. air space. Once the package reaches the destination country's customs services, we cannot control the timing of the delivery. Delivery time for this method is said to be 7 - 10 days generally, if there are no customs delays. For shipping rates please see the chart below.

If the value of the package is over $4000, we will ship using FedEx. Packages are usually delivered within 2 - 3 days, and are tracked from our door to yours.

For all non-domestic orders we will declare a very low value for customs. We will usually declare a total value under $35, unless the customer requests differently. If the package is shipped via FedEx, we will declare a value around $200, unless the customer requests differently.

Delivery at Shows

It is possible that your order may be delivered at one of the various mineral shows that we attend. This is, of course, limited to the amount of room that we have available when traveling to the show. If this is the chosen method of delivery, we do require payment in full for the specimen or specimens at the time of the order.

Miscellaneous

Consignments:

Depending upon how much stock we currently have in reserve, we may or may not accept consignment specimens. If consignment specimens are accepted, we require 50% of the sales proceeds. The remaining 50% is provided to the consignee as "store credit".

Trades/Exchanges:

Sorry, we do not exchange for specimens. If you have something that you wish to part with, we are always interested in purchasing specimens. Please provide pictures and details. If we are able to purchase your specimen or specimens, the money provided for your specimens can then be used to purchase whatever is of interest in our galleries.

Holding Specimens:

Often we are asked to "hold" a specimen for a day or two, sometimes even longer, while a customer will try to decide. Generally, if the specimen is from a new offering, in fairness to others, we will not do this. If the specimen has been available for sale over a period of time we may, or may not, be able to do this.

"Sold" Specimens

Once a specimen is sold it will be removed from the gallery, placing it in out "Archives Section". If you fail to download the picture/description before we remove your specimen from the gallery, please go to Archives through our home page. Once in the archives, there is a search engine which will allow you to easily find your specimen. The best way to search is using our item number.

Past auction specimens may also be found in the "Archives Section" using the search engine. These are usually still available on the auction website for up to one to two months after the close of the auction. After this time, the specimen photos and descriptions are transferred to "Archives Section".

Modification of Terms:

We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect immediately when posted on the Website. It is your responsibility to read the Terms and Conditions each time you enter this Website and your continued use of the website indicates your acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse sales of any items.
